Short films can do a lot of work to explain complex issues. I work with technical teams to devise the content for a film, write the script and manage the production process with external creative companies such as animators and illustrators.

Animated films

Collaborating closely with the IHP+ team, hosted by the World Health Organization and the World Bank, I had the pleasure of working on two short films to explain the work of IHP+ and the technical area of financial management in health.

Development cooperation

In association with the team, I write the script and worked with brilliant animation company Fred and Eric to produce this short film. It explains the concept of effective development cooperation in health and the work of IHP+ and was also produced in French.

 

Financial management in health

Having listened to a colleague’s clear explanation of financial management in health, I was really excited about the communication possibilities for this technical subject.

I worked with an illustrator to produce a set of hand-drawn images (which we also used in a poster campaign) to highlight some of the key issues and wrote the script in association with technical colleagues at the World Bank. I then used a software package to produce the film, and we also made it in French.
